Privacy Policy

Effective 5 September 2026 · Applies to the SkyRay app for iOS and iPadOS, and to future Android releases.

SkyRay does not collect, store or share any personal data of its own, and there are no accounts and no analytics. Everything you add to the app stays on your device. The app shows a short ad after you connect, served by Google AdMob – see “Advertising” below for what that involves.

What the app stores on your device

This data is kept in the app's private storage (an iOS App Group shared only with the app's own network extension). It is never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it. If you use the optional backup export, the file you create contains your server credentials – keep it private.

Network connections the app makes

DestinationWhyWhat is sent
The proxy/VPN servers you addTo carry your traffic when you connect, and to measure latency when you ask for itYour internet traffic, encrypted by the protocol of that server. SkyRay does not log or inspect it.
Subscription URLs you addTo download and refresh your provider's server listA plain HTTP request. Some providers identify you by the token in their URL; that relationship is between you and your provider.
Latency test URLs (Google generate_204, Cloudflare generate_204)To measure how fast a server respondsAn empty request through the server being tested.
Public IP lookup (api.ipify.org)Only when you run the built-in connection self-testAn empty request; the response shows your exit IP to you only.

Beyond this, SkyRay contacts no server of its own: there is no telemetry and no crash reporting service. The one third-party SDK in the app is Google AdMob, covered next.

Advertising

After you connect to a server, SkyRay shows one short ad using Google AdMob. This is the only advertising or analytics SDK in the app.

Your provider

SkyRay is a client. The servers it connects to are operated by whoever gave you the configuration. That operator can see the traffic that passes through their server, subject to their own privacy policy. Only add links from a provider you trust.

Device permissions

Children

SkyRay is not directed at children, is not listed in a kids category, and does not knowingly serve children under 13. Ads are requested without child-directed treatment.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
