Privacy Policy for Sudoku

1. Summary

We do not sell your personal information. We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number, or precise GPS location. The App is a puzzle game; the limited data it does process exists to save your progress, keep the App stable, and show advertising that funds the free version.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following is kept locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:

• Your puzzles in progress, completed games, difficulty preference and statistics
• Your settings, including sound, music, vibration and theme
• Whether you have purchased the ad-free upgrade

You can erase this data at any time by deleting the App from your device.

3. Account and Cloud Sync (Firebase)

The App uses Firebase, a service of Google LLC, for optional account sign-in and cloud storage of game progress. When you sign in, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous or account-linked user identifier, and Cloud Firestore stores your game progress against that identifier so it can be restored on a new device.

What is stored: a Firebase user ID, your game progress and statistics, and the date the record was created or updated. If you sign in with an email-based or third-party provider, the email address associated with that provider is stored by Firebase Authentication.

To have your account and its stored progress deleted, email us at the address in section 10 and we will delete the record within 30 days.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is used in aggregate — for example how many players finish a puzzle, which difficulty levels are popular, and where players stop playing. It also reports crashes so we can fix them.

This produces app usage events, a device identifier, device model, operating system version, coarse region derived from IP address, and crash diagnostics. It does not include your name or contact details.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads appear as a banner and, when you choose to use a hint, as a rewarded advertisement that you may decline. To deliver and measure ads, Google may collect and process:

• The device advertising identifier (IDFA) when you have permitted tracking, or a non-tracking identifier when you have not
• Device information such as model, operating system version, language and coarse region
• IP address and general, non-precise location derived from it
• Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped

6. App Tracking Transparency and Consent

On iOS the App presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking identifier is used for advertising. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not accessed and ads are served without it. You can change this decision at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.

Where required by law, the App also shows a Google User Messaging Platform consent form covering personalized advertising under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and comparable rules. Your choice is stored and honoured on subsequent launches, and can be changed from the App's settings screen.

7. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time, non-consumable "Remove Ads" purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. Apple provides us only with a receipt confirming that the purchase is valid, which the App uses to disable advertising.

8. Your Rights and Choices

• Turn off ad tracking at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• Withdraw or change advertising consent from the App's settings screen where the consent form applies to you.
• Remove all locally stored data by deleting the App.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of any cloud-stored account data by emailing us. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with a comprehensive privacy law such as California, these rights include access, deletion, correction, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Data Retention, Security and Transfers

Cloud-stored game progress is retained until you request deletion or the account becomes inactive. Data held in Firebase is stored on Google infrastructure and is protected by Google's security controls, including encryption in transit and at rest. Because we use Google services, information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any change will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
